Tyler Timmons was a 20-year-old Black man from Queens who, on March 11, 2018, stepped into an ordinary Sunday in southeast Queens and never made it home. Late that afternoon in Cambria Heights, on 225th Street near Linden Boulevard, the quiet of the block shattered when gunfire rang out. When police and EMS rushed in just after 5:30 p.m., they found him facedown in the street, shot in the torso/chest.
