On October 10, 2018, a tragic series of events unfolded in Rochester, New York, culminating in the death of 28-year-old Antane Lopez. The young woman became a victim of gun violence in what authorities described as a shooting spree. The man identified as the perpetrator was Terrell Blake.
The violence did not end with Lopez's death. On the same day, Blake also shot and wounded Willie Jakes, who was 25 at the time.
In a further escalation, he also shot his own 20-year-old son, Terrell Blake Jr. Following these violent acts, Blake led law enforcement on a chase that ultimately ended in a shootout, during which he was killed.
In the aftermath of the tragedy, it was revealed that Lopez had been in a relationship with Blake and had been attempting to leave him for two years.
