In the early hours of March 14, 2022, Janet Jordan, a 35-year-old female 911 dispatcher, returned to her Rochester, New York, home on Wetmore Park after finishing her shift. Shortly after 2 a.m., security footage captured a figure, later identified as off-duty Rochester Police Sergeant Melvin Williams, entering her residence. An hour later, the same camera recorded Williams leaving the house. This would be the last time anyone entered or left the home until later that morning.
