On a Monday morning in the heart of Coney Island, 53-year-old Dorothy Dixon was at a construction site on West 33rd Street, hoping to find work to support her family. It was February 4, 2019, and the day held the promise of a new opportunity. Tragically, that promise was violently shattered when an argument erupted nearby between two men.
