In the Queens neighborhood of Jackson Heights, 31-year-old Jeffrey Arroyo, a Hispanic male, was fatally shot on April 8, 2019. The incident occurred around noon near the intersection of 37th Avenue and 88th Street, just a short distance from Arroyo's home. According to reports, Arroyo was seen running from a house, covered in blood and screaming that he had been shot. He had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest.
