On a late Monday night in September 2019, the life of 23-year-old Hispanic male Carlos Alfonso came to a tragic end. His body was discovered on the Slosson Avenue exit ramp of the Staten Island Expressway. Investigators determined that he had been shot in the head. He was quickly transported to Richmond University Medical Center, but his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
At the time, it was unclear to authorities whether he had been killed at that location or if his body had been left there after the fact.
