In the summer of 2020, William E. Hooks III, a 24-year-old male, was fatally shot in Albany, New York. The incident occurred around 10:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, near the intersection of North Lake Avenue and First Street in the West Hill neighborhood. Hooks was one of numerous individuals shot in the city during a surge of violence that month. Another person was also wounded in the same incident that claimed Hooks' life.
