On June 22, 2023, 18-year-old Javone Sims was fatally shot on Third Street in Albany, New York. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m., also leaving a 17-year-old boy critically injured. Sims was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other victim was transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment.
