In the summer of 2020, a visit to Syracuse, New York, turned tragic for Luis Ramos-Rodriguez, a 27-year-old man from Puerto Rico. On the evening of July 26th, on the city's west side, Ramos-Rodriguez was on Oswego Street when he was shot in the head. Paramedics arrived at the scene and quickly transported him to University Hospital. Despite the efforts of medical staff, his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
