On a crisp autumn morning in Harlem, 31-year-old Jamel Smith was on his way to grab breakfast, a routine start to his day that would tragically be his last. It was November 4, 2020, when his life was violently cut short in a hail of bullets near the intersection of West 112th Street and Malcolm X Boulevard.
