Nair Vives, 26, was a Black man from Queens, New York, when a late-morning ride on November 20, 2020 turned into a sudden, public killing near John F. Kennedy International Airport. He was inside a Nissan Maxima traveling along Rockaway Boulevard with three other passengers when gunfire tore through the front of the vehicle in broad daylight.
