Nair Vives, a 26-year-old resident of Queens, New York, tragically lost his life on November 20, 2020, in a violent incident that shocked the community. Vives was driving a green Nissan Maxima with temporary New Jersey plates when he was fatally shot while traveling westbound on Rockaway Boulevard. The shooting caused him to lose control of the vehicle, veering into the eastbound lanes and crashing through a fence near 230-19 Rockaway Boulevard.
