Jacob Corey Wims, a 28-year-old former star athlete and father, tragically lost his life on April 8, 2021, in Rochester, New York. Wims was shot and killed while sitting in his car on Mead Street, off North Clinton Avenue. The incident occurred around 9:50 a.m., when multiple gunshots were fired, striking Wims several times.
