Matthew Rivera, an 18-year-old male from Harlem, Manhattan, lost his life in a tragic shooting on December 2, 2021. The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. on East 119th Street near Third Avenue in East Harlem. Authorities responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting and arrived to find Rivera suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. He was immediately transported to NYC Health & Hospitals/Harlem, where he was pronounced dead.
