In December of 2021, the Syracuse community was shaken by the discovery of the body of 40-year-old Edwin DeJesus, a Hispanic male. His life was cut short in a violent act that ended with his body being concealed in the trunk of a vehicle. The grim discovery was made on December 10, 2021, after police were called to investigate a report of a shooting. The investigation led them to a car parked on Croly Street, where they found DeJesus.
