In the early hours of a winter morning in Washington Heights, a father of four named Lamar Brown was killed in the lobby of his apartment building. The 44-year-old male was discovered by police at approximately 1:56 a.m. on January 16, 2022, inside the entrance of 501 West 176th Street with a single gunshot wound to his stomach. Emergency services rushed him to NewYork-Presbyterian Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
