In March of 2022, the life of 41-year-old Julius L. Hagood was tragically cut short. His body was discovered behind an abandoned house on Ames Street in Rochester, New York. An investigation into his death revealed that he had been shot and killed. Hagood was a man who was deeply loved by his family, known for his optimism and for being a great debater.
Authorities identified two individuals, Tyrell Doty and Alexis Chung, as being responsible for Hagood's death.
It was reported that both Doty and Chung were acquainted with Hagood prior to the fatal shooting. The motive behind the killing was connected to a robbery.
In January 2023, Tyrell Doty pleaded guilty to charges of murder, robbery, and weapons possession in connection with Hagood's death. Later that year, in September, Alexis Chung was sentenced to 10 years in prison for her role in the incident.
