In the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn, a mother's return home from her job as a healthcare worker on the evening of May 25, 2022, turned into a scene of horror. Upon entering her second-floor apartment on Montauk Avenue, she discovered the body of her 22-year-old son, Tristan Templeman, behind the door. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
Emergency medical services were called to the residence, but it was too late; Tristan Templeman was pronounced dead at the
scene. The New York Police Department immediately launched a homicide investigation into the shooting.
Despite the ongoing investigation, as of the initial reports, no arrests had been made in connection with the death of Tristan Templeman. Authorities have not publicly identified any suspects or a potential motive for the shooting. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death remains open.
