In the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn, a mother's return home from her job as a healthcare worker on the evening of May 25, 2022, turned into a scene of horror. Upon entering her second-floor apartment on Montauk Avenue, she discovered the body of her 22-year-old son, Tristan Templeman, behind the door. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
