In the early morning hours of September 2, 2022, a dispute in a parking lot at Charlotte Beach in Rochester, New York, ended in the tragic death of 31-year-old Jerome Lindsey. Responding to the scene at approximately 3:38 a.m., police discovered Lindsey on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigations revealed that a verbal altercation had broken out between several men gathered in the parking lot prior to the shooting.
Despite the efforts of first responders, Jerome Lindsey succumbed to his injuries at the scene. He was a male, and at the time of his death, he was 31 years old.
The Rochester Police Department's Major Crimes Section has been leading the homicide investigation. As of late 2025, there have been no public announcements regarding any arrests made or suspects identified in connection with the shooting. Authorities have appealed to the public for any information that might lead to a breakthrough in the case, encouraging witnesses or those with knowledge of the incident to come forward.
