Larry Williams Jr., a 31-year-old man, was killed in the early hours of Friday, August 27, 2010, after gunfire erupted on the 5400 block of 56th Place in an unincorporated stretch of Prince George’s County just east of Riverdale Park. The night was still and late—shortly before 1:30 a.m.—when police were called to the scene and found him shot. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors could not save him, and he was pronounced dead after arrival.
