In the early morning hours of December 27, 2012, a grim discovery was made in Capitol Heights, Maryland. Police officers, responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle at approximately 6:55 a.m. near the intersection of Pepper Mill Drive and Drylog Street, found 21-year-old Nicholas Andrew Battle inside. He had sustained an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
