In a quiet neighborhood in Halfway, a community near Hagerstown, Maryland, a horrific scene unfolded on the afternoon of June 5, 2014. Inside a home on Dawn Drive, authorities discovered the bodies of three individuals in what was determined to be a murder-suicide. One of the victims was 23-year-old Christopher Wachter. Also found were his mother, 47-year-old Kimberly Smith, and his stepfather, 54-year-old William Smith Jr.
