Mya Shawatza Hall, a 27-year-old transgender woman, died on March 30, 2015, after a confrontation with police at the National Security Agency (NSA) gate in Fort Meade, Maryland. Hall, along with Kevin Fleming, attempted to enter the NSA premises by ramming their vehicle into the gate. The incident occurred around 9 a.m. when the SUV they were driving failed to stop at the gate and accelerated towards an NSA police vehicle.
