In the early morning hours of Sunday, October 25, 2015, a violent altercation outside a popular waterfront restaurant in Fort Washington, Maryland, ended in tragedy, claiming the life of 36-year-old Tania Vanessa Lopez. The incident unfolded around 1:15 a.m. in the parking lot of Proud Mary's restaurant, located at the Fort Washington Marina. Lopez, a resident of Montgomery Village, Maryland, was fatally shot and pronounced dead at the scene.
