In the early hours of a Tuesday in Essex, Maryland, the life of 25-year-old Antonio David Truesdale was tragically cut short. On January 26, 2016, just before 2:00 a.m., Baltimore County Police responded to reports of a shooting in the unit block of Valley Arbor Court. There, they discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were rushed to local hospitals, but Truesdale, a resident of Sandstone Road, succumbed to his injuries.
The second victim was treated for his wounds and later released.

Truesdale and the other man had been involved in an interaction with two male suspects when at least one of the suspects opened fire, striking both victims.
