On a spring evening in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, the life of 22-year-old Alim Rahim was tragically cut short. On May 8, 2016, police responded to the 500 block of Harry S Truman Drive in Largo, where they discovered Rahim inside a car, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the death of the young man from Upper Marlboro quickly pointed to a violent robbery.
