On a Sunday evening in October 2016, 18-year-old Sardor Fayziev, a male resident of Reisterstown, Maryland, was fatally shot while sitting in the driver's seat of a car on Caraway Road. The incident began when Fayziev and two other individuals arrived at the location and were approached by two men. These assailants opened the rear doors of the vehicle and began assaulting a passenger in the back seat. During the altercation, a single gunshot was fired, striking Fayziev in the upper body.
The two suspects then fled the scene in a vehicle driven by a third person. Emergency services were called, and Fayziev was transported to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
