On a late Saturday evening in Reisterstown, Maryland, a domestic dispute tragically escalated, leading to the death of 32-year-old Andrew Bowers, a White/Caucasian male. The incident occurred on June 25, 2022, in the unit block of Westminster Pike, where Bowers was involved in an altercation with his girlfriend.
The situation took a fatal turn when 21-year-old William Reckline, of Glen Burnie, arrived at the scene.
Reckline allegedly became involved in the dispute and subsequently shot both Andrew Bowers and a woman who was also present. Emergency services were dispatched to the location at approximately 10:45 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Bowers and the female victim suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both individuals were transported to a local hospital for medical attention. Andrew Bowers succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The female victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Following an investigation into the shooting, Baltimore County Police arrested William Reckline.
Reckline was charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence, and first-degree assault. He was subsequently held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center. The case was set to proceed through the legal system.
