On a cold January evening in Baltimore, the life of 17-year-old Desean Mcelveen was tragically cut short. On January 12, 2017, the young Black man was walking with a 20-year-old companion in the Coldstream-Homestead-Montebello neighborhood. As they made their way, a black van approached, and a passenger within opened fire, unleashing a hail of bullets that would forever alter the lives of those present.
