Peter Hill, aged 35, was found dead on December 24, 2017, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Hill was known for his deep involvement in the city's musical heritage. At a young age, he played trombone with the Trombone Shorty Brass Band and later became the owner of the Treme Sweet Shop, a beloved neighborhood establishment. Hill was also the grandson of legendary musician Jessie "Ooh Poo Pah Doo" Hill. His death was a blow to the community that cherished his contributions to local culture and music.
