In the spring of 2017, what began as a transaction for a computer tragically ended in the death of 36-year-old Rawle Farley in College Park, Maryland. On the afternoon of March 26, Farley was fatally shot in his apartment building in a robbery that was orchestrated under the guise of a sale. This violent encounter not only claimed Farley's life but also resulted in injury to a friend who was with him at the time.
The investigation into the homicide quickly revealed that Farley had
arranged to purchase a computer from a man he had previously done business with. This man, identified as William George Moore Jr., arrived at Farley’s apartment with two other individuals. However, the purpose of their visit was not a legitimate sale but a planned robbery. During the commission of this crime, Rawle Farley was shot and killed.
Law enforcement officials were able to identify one of the assailants, leading to the arrest of William George Moore Jr., a 27-year-old from Dundalk. He was subsequently charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery. The case against Moore proceeded through the justice system, and in February 2019, he was convicted for his role in the murder and robbery of Rawle Farley. He was scheduled for sentencing the following month.
Despite the successful arrest and conviction of Moore, the two other men who accompanied him on that fatal day have not been publicly identified or apprehended. Authorities released surveillance footage of the three suspects entering the apartment building, but this has not yet led to the arrest of the remaining individuals involved in the death of Rawle Farley. The investigation into their identities and whereabouts remains unresolved.
