In the spring of 2017, a burst of gunfire shattered the afternoon calm in a Baltimore neighborhood, leaving a man fatally wounded. Mackinley Williams, a 53-year-old male, was gunned down around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2017, in the 2000 block of Federal Street. Responding to reports of a shooting, police officers arrived to find Williams suffering from gunshot wounds.
