A late-night burst of violence on a Saturday in Baltimore claimed the life of 29-year-old Larry Lawson on April 29, 2017. The male victim was discovered by police just around the corner from another recent shooting victim.
That evening, at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Baltimore and Carey Streets for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located 18-year-old Steven Jackson suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
While investigating that scene, Lawson was found on the nearby Stockton Street with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
Both Lawson and Jackson were rushed to a local trauma center for medical attention. Tragically, both men succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead a short time after their arrival at the hospital.
The double homicide was part of a particularly violent weekend in Baltimore. As of early 2024, publically available information does not indicate that any arrests have been made in connection with the murders of Larry Lawson and Steven Jackson, and the case is believed to remain unsolved.
