Wayne Pope, a 27-year-old resident of Suitland, Maryland, tragically lost his life on May 3, 2017, in a violent incident at an Exxon gas station on Silver Hill Road. According to reports, Pope was pumping gas when he was approached by an assailant who attempted to rob him. During the confrontation, a struggle ensued, and Pope was shot in the upper body.
