Death by Force

On August 5, 2017, German Garcia-Paredes, a 25-year-old resident of Brentwood, Maryland, was found dead on a sidewalk in Mount Rainier, Maryland. The incident occurred in the 3500 block of Rhode Island Avenue, near a library. Police officers responded to the scene around 6:15 a.m. after receiving a report of a man lying on the sidewalk. Upon arrival, they discovered that Garcia-Paredes had suffered significant trauma to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.
