Dontae John Cook, a 16-year-old resident of Mount Rainier, Maryland, tragically lost his life on December 16, 2011. Dontae was a student at Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. On the evening of his death, he was found with a gunshot wound in the hallway of an apartment building located in the 4600 block of 25th Street in Mount Rainier. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Dontae was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
