Michael Covert, a 36-year-old resident of Annapolis, Maryland, tragically died from injuries sustained in a shooting incident on September 20, 2017. The shooting occurred in the Eastport neighborhood of Annapolis, specifically on Medgar Evers Street. Covert was one of two victims in the incident; the other victim, a 41-year-old woman named Lashira Addison, was shot in the foot but survived and was released from the hospital shortly after.
