In the autumn of 2017, the life of Reginald Jefferson, a 29-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short in Baltimore, Maryland. On the night of October 27th, while working as a security guard at the Pedestal Gardens Apartments in the Madison Park neighborhood, Jefferson was fatally shot. He had taken on the security job just a few weeks prior, hoping to earn extra money for the upcoming holiday season for his family.
