Derek Parker, 34, a Black male, was shot on the evening of June 2, 2025, and made it to an area hospital seeking help shortly before 9 p.m. Despite life-saving efforts, Derek Parker, 34, died after arrival. Police identified him publicly the next day and began piecing together where the shooting occurred and how he reached the hospital.
