In the early morning hours of November 19, 2017, the quiet community of Grasonville, Maryland, was disturbed by an act of violence that would claim the life of a young man. Maiky Jerrally Ferreras, a 19-year-old African American male, was in his home at 1A Fisher Manor when the unthinkable occurred. A 911 call was placed at 4:39 a.m. to check on his welfare, bringing deputies from the Queen Anne's County Office of the Sheriff to his residence.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement officers made a grim discovery on the second floor of the home. They found Maiky Ferreras suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Emergency medical services personnel were quickly on the scene, but his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced deceased.
