In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Frederick, Maryland, tragedy struck on the 400 block of West South Street. Just before 1 a.m. on April 15, 2018, the sound of gunfire shattered the quiet of the neighborhood. When police officers arrived at the scene, they found 45-year-old David Germaine Wilson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was a Black male. Emergency medical services transported him to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
