In the quiet suburban streets of Laurel, Maryland, a tragedy unfolded on the evening of April 24, 2018, forever altering the lives of a local family and community. William Riley Jr., an 18-year-old male from Howard County, was found inside a vehicle in the 15800 block of Millbrook Lane, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The initial call to Laurel Police was for a car accident, but upon their arrival around 7:30 p.m., a more grim reality became apparent.
