In the early morning hours of July 1, 2018, the life of 36-year-old Terrance David Sterrette was tragically cut short in Aberdeen, Maryland. Sterrette was discovered on a sidewalk in the 200 block of Perrywood Court with a fatal gunshot wound to his head after police responded to reports of a gunshot at approximately 3:57 a.m.
The investigation that followed led authorities to identify two suspects from the Washington D.C.
area: 33-year-old Dornell Antwain Napoli and 26-year-old Daniel Delonte Hall of Temple Hills. According to the Harford County Sheriff's Office, the incident began as an attempted robbery. It is believed that Napoli exited a vehicle and tried to rob Sterrette. During the course of the robbery, Napoli allegedly fired a handgun, striking Sterrette in the head.
With the assistance of the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington D.C., both Napoli and Hall were taken into custody the day after the shooting. They were subsequently charged with first-degree murder, first-degree assault, and firearm use in the commission of a felony or violent crime. Following their arrest, they were held in Washington D.C. pending extradition to Maryland to face the charges brought against them.
