Thailek Jacob Willis, a 19-year-old from Edgewood, Maryland, tragically lost his life on August 3, 2018. The incident occurred in the parking lot of Edgewood High School, where Willis had driven to conduct a drug deal. Upon his arrival, he was approached by two teenagers, Yasin Wallace Powell, 16, and Jaylin Jerome Brown, 15, both armed with handguns. The teens announced a robbery, and as Willis attempted to flee, they fired shots, one of which struck and killed him.
