Mina Kim, an 11-year-old girl from Silver Spring, Maryland, tragically lost her life on September 17, 2018, in what authorities have described as a murder-suicide. The incident occurred in the Colesville area of Silver Spring, where police believe her father, Yong Mun Kim, fatally shot Mina, her 10-year-old brother Andy Kim, their mother Sang Yeon Kim, and a 22-year-old woman believed to be his stepdaughter, before turning the gun on himself^1^.
