Maura Portillo, aged 39, tragically lost her life on November 13, 1991, in Silver Spring, MD. Her death was part of a double homicide that also claimed the life of Jose Escobar, 30, of Hyattsville. Both victims were members of the cleaning crew for Tischer Auto of Silver Spring. The incident occurred during their work hours, and they were found shot to death at the scene.
