David Ruen, a 38-year-old resident of Laurel, Maryland, was found dead in his car on December 29, 2018, in the 11300 block of Evans Trail in Beltsville. The discovery was made around 11:45 a.m. during a welfare check by the police. Ruen had suffered a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation revealed that the shooting was likely the result of a robbery during an illegal drug transaction.
