On the night of March 4, 2019, 18-year-old Tywon Smith was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest in the 3500 block of St. Joseph Street in Baltimore, Maryland. The incident occurred around 10:10 p.m., and despite efforts to save him, Smith succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital.
