In the early morning hours of April 5, 2026, the life of 40-year-old Brandon Long Sr., a male, was tragically cut short in the Federal Hill neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland. The incident unfolded around 3 a.m. in the 200 block of Key Highway, where a dispute escalated into deadly violence. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Long unresponsive, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
Despite any efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the location.
The events leading up to the shooting were partially captured by a security camera. The footage showed a chaotic scene with a group of people gathered in a parking lot near a plaza. After gunshots rang out, the group scattered, running in different directions. Long was seen among those fleeing the area before he collapsed onto a nearby sidewalk. The investigation into Brandon Long Sr.'s death led to an arrest ten days later. On April 15, 2026, authorities took 27-year-old Travion Lemon into custody in connection with the fatal shooting. Lemon was subsequently charged with first-degree murder, assault, and handgun violations. The investigation did not end with Lemon's arrest, as police later announced they were seeking to identify two women who were also believed to have been involved in the incident. Authorities released images and video of the two women to the public, asking for assistance in locating them.
