In the waning hours of a spring day in Baltimore, Maryland, the life of 21-year-old Erskine Reed Jr. was tragically cut short. On the evening of Friday, May 3, 2019, police were called to the 5300 block of Cordelia Avenue in the Northwest district of the city for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered Reed suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal.
