Devonte Dixon, a 26-year-old resident of Northeast D.C., was tragically found dead on May 14, 2019, in Capitol Heights, Maryland. His body was discovered inside a burning car on Akin Avenue. Upon extinguishing the flames, authorities found that Dixon had not only been severely burned but had also sustained gunshot wounds. An autopsy confirmed that he had been shot, leading police to rule his death as a homicide.
